Day 7 - Squaw Lake to Ranger Spring

I woke at about 5 AM feeling like I had already consumed several cups of coffee (I hadn’t) but I‘m sure it had something to do with the bizarre drugs I’m taking. I fed the cat, did a load of laundry, scrubbed the kitchen floor, walked the dog, changed out the side view mirror on Peggy’s Toyota, checked my e-mail, called the health insurance company, and actually had a latte’ (so I wouldn’t get the caffeine deprivation headache - not for the boost) and all before 9 AM. Then I mowed the lawn, trimmed the rose bushes on the arbor and …
In the afternoon Runningbird called and was doing well and running a bit ahead of schedule. Instead of meeting her as planned on Sunday afternoon, she would be arriving on Saturday afternoon. I rearranged my plan to get me there in time and got my bags packed and took Beau to the dog sleep-over. By time I got home I was running on impulse power and fading fast. James Bond was going to have to wait for another time. I was in bed before 8 PM and out of it.
