Heart Lake Trailhead to along the Snake River Headwaters

Near Grant Village, Yosemite NP, WY
It’s 0445! Time to get up! Last night was a bit rough with all the late campsite arrivals pounding in tent stakes and yelling “where’s this” or “get me that”. Eventually we fell asleep. Some time later a car alarm went off from the site across from ours. Guess they needed the car alarm in case a bear tried to break in and steal their food. For some reason the scenario seams familiar.
It started out as a fairly cool day, cloudy and breezy. After the usual morning routine I dropped Runningbird a short distance up the road at the Heart Lake trailhead and then drove back to Grant Village to see if I could get cell. Oddly I had 4 bars but many of my apps, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Campendium, would not work. Even after rebooting. It was frustrating. For me, I have to say it was a fairly uneventful day. Walked Beau, tried the cell booster I have for the trailer without success. Spent a lot of time studying maps and trying to figure a plan for the coming days. It was difficult without knowing the availability of internet and thus being able to track Peg.
Oh! By the way, Happy Fourth of July!
Eventually I came up with a tentative plan to cover the next two days and from there I’ll hope for better cell service.
