Not much going on here.
Quite the lazy day here. It was one of those mornings when you just don't want to get out of bed. Late last night before going to bed and while brushing my teeth I learned an important lesson about my new rig. If you turn to the right with your arm up (like when you're brushing your teeth) it's really easy to catch your sleeve on the shower valve. And the water was cold! I was still fully dressed and it took me a couple moments to realize what had happened and to react. Too long to keep from getting nicely soaked. The bathroom door was opened and Beau was just sitting there looking at me like, Who's the dope? Okay, lesson learned. It will only take two or three more times for it to sink in.

Once I did get up and get going, Beau and I enjoyed a pleasantly warm walk in the sunshine and the skies stayed clear until mid afternoon. I was going to go towards the town of Salmon (about an hour away) exploring but decided to wait until tomorrow so I could get Runningbird a Subway sandwich without it getting too stale before she would get it. Instead I did some crosswords, read the news (downer), tracked the Bird and noticed she was again covering some ground. It was nice to know she was finally getting some more favorable weather to travel in as well. Just afternoon I decided to try out my new awning for the T@B and see how big of a chore it was to put on. It actually went up fairly easily and I was happy with the stability. It surely wasn't as easy as on my old trailer where all I had to do was push a button. I pulled out a couple of camp chairs and Beau got comfy in the shade. About mid-afternoon I noticed a slight breeze kicking up and watched to see that the awning was doing fairly well. Then I saw the dark clouds coming and I decided I didn't want to experiment any more and started to take it down. As soon as I pulled up the two support pegs the whole thing flipped up and over the trailer. I scrambled to pull the support poles out of the seam pocket and slide the awning rib out of the sleeve on the trailer. What did I learn? It's not worth waiting to see how windy it will get once a breeze kicks up and, I can can take the thing down much faster than I can set it up. Although it really didn't take long to set it up. I like it. Now if it had started raining at the same time it might have been a different story.
