A third Zero day. Uber laid back.

I had a bit of an upset stomach last night and it was also pretty warm so I didn't sleep so great. There were a few rogue mosquitos about inside as well. We didn't have any particular plans for the day but we did notice a road just off next to the campground and I saw on the map that the Sula Post Office was up there a bit so that was going to be our to-do for today. First, a couple of coffees in bed, breakfast, and Peggy walked up to visit the Camp Sula store and visited with Wendy, the owner and had a look around. I visited with one of the owners of a motorhome that had California plates on it. He and his wife were avid flyfishers and mountain bikers from Ventura and they often work from their RV while touring about. It was pretty big and had a washer and dryer, etc. While it was ten years old it looked new. They had a lovely white Labrador "Sula" that was Beau's age, weight, and play level so we let them off leash and they happily played nicely for quite a while. We agreed to try and have them play again in the evening to tire them out before bed.

Later in the morning the biker gang fired up and headed out and I returned to the T@B and then to check out the road next over with Peggy and Beau. It didn't take us long. It stretched out into a lovey valley and there was nothing out there but the post office, a volunteer fire department, a clubhouse, and the rest was all big ranches. We pretty much spent the rest of the day reading, writing cards, and looking at a detour noted on the Far Out App on a leg up near Helena that we would have to adjust to (Ha!) down the road a bit. The campground started slowly filling up and I was trying to figure out why. Then Peggy reminded me it was Friday. Later I checked my texts and I had missed a message from out friends from the UK, Isaac and Freddy who were looking for a ride from Chief Joseph Pass to Darby. By the time I replied they had already gotten a ride. Oh well. Nice guys.

About mid-afternoon the clouds rolled in and the thunder followed. It was pretty cool but didn't last long. UK Isaac texted again and said they enjoyed the destruction derby in Salmon last weekend and tonight they were going to the rodeo in Darby. Doing the American thing!
