Warm again but with a slight breeze.

Site #2 now, Tower Rock BLM Campground.

Did I tell you there was an osprey nest here? Those guys can be real yakkers! They are also really cool to watch on approach to the nest and at the last minute pulling up to brake and gently setting down on the rim. Do you think the dads are really just showing off to their kids like we do? Or maybe its the mom I'm seeing?

It was a slow start to the day and then after that it just stayed slow. Shoot, I just realized I never had coffee this morning. No wonder it stayed slow. Breakfast, walks, and a chat with the neighbors and I hooked up the trailer to the truck and ran into town to dump, fill up with fresh water, and then back to the Tower Rock Campground. On driving back from town I noticed I had four cell bars. Turned the corner around the rock with three bars and kept it at two pulling into the campground. I pulled into the one empty site across from mine still with two bars. Dang! I was getting zero to occasionally one bar in my site. It took me less that five minutes to switch sites. I was even able to sit in my truck with the booster on and have a phone conversation with my brother. I also notice the sun would hit my solar panel better in the day in this new site and perhaps, being slightly away from the bushes and next to the river there will be less mosquitos. Or, maybe, it was the breeze? Got my American flag out too! Happy almost Fourth of July!

Beau thinking about the places he could swim to if he weren't on a leash. Salmon River.

Took Beau for another dunk in the river to cool him down. Ahhh! He loves it. With the breeze I hadn't noticed the mosquitos and I put out my chair in the shade and got my book. It didn't take me long to fall asleep.

Runnningbird was still moving on at a pretty good clip. She called in the early evening and was standing on top of a mountain or cliff. I could hear the wind howling on her phone. We only talked for about a minute. I mentioned something about calling it a day and she replied that she "HAD to keep going". She's her own master. Or slave. I think it was nearly 7:30 when she settled down for the night.
